Institute – Industry Partnership Program – IIP -  Minutes of Meeting :

• The Scope for undertaking various Projects by students exists in various organizations like Government Departments like Irrigation, MIDC, Railways, Private Industries and Private Builders.

• The Opportunity would be provided to students desiring to undertake such sponsored Projects.

• Few of the sponsored projects would require Multi-disciplinary expertise which need to be taken care of. 

• However, due care must be taken to complete the project as per schedule finalized by the industry.

• The Teaching Staff also need to have adequate technical update regarding the Project undertaken.

• The Students undertaking the project work shall have enough Persistence and consistency to achieve and exhibit results.

• The Infrastructure and Facilities within campus shall not be limited to Curriculum.

• The latest equipment needed for providing Testing and calibration can be worked out.

• Sangli- Miraj- Kupwad Industrial area do not have Testing and calibration laboratory which is accredited by National Accreditation Board for Testing and calibration laboratories. The scope to undertake such Lab is existing.

• Programs like 5 S, 6 Sigma etc. are undertaken by industry on regular basis.The faculty of institute must acquire such skills to meet such demand by industry.

• Small R and D projects can be undertaken by Institute.

• The Round Table meeting at department level needs to be undertaken to specify further details.
