Energy Audit Cell

Energy Audit Objectives:

·         To evaluate equipment and system efficiency

  • To estimate associated energy losses.
  • To identify potential areas of cost reduction.
  • To recommend cost effective schemes for achieving energy saving and cost saving.

Our Team made of highly experienced, competent and skilled professionals from: Electrical, Mechanical and Chemical Engineering disciplines capable of undertaking audits in energy intensive industries like Sugar, Textile, Pulp and Paper, Cold storage supply chain.

Supported by necessary handheld/portable instruments, infrastructure and   equipment for on-site thermal and electrical energy monitoring, thermal and electrical energy analysis software, an exhaustive databank.

Scope of Energy Audit:

All major thermal and electrical energy consuming equipments and Process units  such as:

·         Furnaces and boilers,

·         DG sets,

·         Compressors,

·         Dryers,

·         Cooling Towers,

·         Motors, Pumps,

·         blowers and fans,

·         Refrigeration and Air conditioning,

·         Load and demand management,

·         Transformers,

·         Power Factor analysis,

·         Harmonic Analysis and

·         Energy Management Systems.

Our Expertise:

·         Detailed Energy audits (Thermal and Electrical)

·         Technical Assistance for implementation of energy conservation services

·         Monitoring and evaluation

·         Training of stakeholders

·         Feasibility of funding through Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).

Our Approach:

·         Collection of design/ operational data.

·         Site measurements and operational and performance parameters

·         Assessment of energy losses and energy efficiency of equipment and system

·         Recommendation of No-cost, Low-Cost, medium term, Long Term scheme with cost benefit analysis.

·         Detailed action plan for implementation.

Sectors and areas of operation:

·         Industrial

·         Agricultural

·         Commercial

·         Municipal

·         Government

Energy Saving Potential:

The industrial sector consumes more than 50% commercial energy. The Energy conservation potential in Sugar Industry is highest at 25% to 30% followed by Textile Industry and Pulp and Paper Industry to about 20% to 25%.
